"So, imagine a scene in which the enemy and you are taking cover in their stronghold. There are two foes left on initiative count 19 and 14 and your team isn't higher than a 9. You guys know for a fact your turn isn't happening before an enemy moves, which can get really boring. A methodical slog of combat, in which the enemy will always run away if they want to, and generally you just know this is gonna be a process.
Greyhawk Initiative is the fix to that, an adaptive initiative system meant specifically for scenarios such as this in which actions are decided before the round even starts.
Each action is assigned a Die that is rolled before the round "starts", and starting up from 1, your choices play out.
